GCNV December Luncheon – Charity Spotlight
December 12, 2018 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
$12.00 – $20.00
Our Topic
During this annual event we will spotlight local charities and non profit organizations dedicated to waste reduction, efficiency improvements, and innovations directly impacting our local environment. It is during this event our members choose our sponsor organization for the 2019 year.
Our Spotlight Charities
This month we will have several charities present their organizations to our members and guests. Get to know the other charities in the Las Vegas and Nevada areas, and resolve to make a difference in our community in 2019 and beyond. Here are some of the charities we have confirmed for our event and a little about them.
Garden Farms Foundation
As a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, Garden Farms Foundation is dedicated to enhancing garden programming in pre K-high schools, other non-profit agencies, and various underserved communities across the valley. We work together with Garden Farms of Nevada to enrich students with farm-to-table events, educational curriculum, environmental awareness, art integration, nutrition education, farmers markets and more. This, paired with hands-on garden lessons in the outdoor classrooms, provides the children of today the access to the food security of tomorrow they, themselves need to grow and flourish in our desert.
