The Nevada Conservation League would like to invite you to a snowshoeing event we will be hosting from 10-12 on Saturday, March 24th at the Tahoe meadows! This will be an ACTIVE day of environmental ACTIVISM! At this event you will be able to: 1) be an activist by signing a petition about environmental policy issues 2) snowshoe in the Sierra Nevada mountains and enjoy spectacular views of Lake Tahoe 3) learn about local flora and fauna 4) socialize with fellow environmental activists and nature enthusiasts.
Please bring snowshoes if you have them; otherwise, some good places to rent snowshoes are Galena Sports (located on Mt. Rose highway on the way to the meadows; a cheap option at $12 per day), Bobos Ski and Board ($14 per day), Sierra Adventures ($15 for half day and $29 for full day).
We will be snowshoeing along Chickadee Ridge, so we will be meeting along the highway at the south end of the Tahoe meadows. Please email us at the email below for exact directions. If you would like to carpool, that is also an option! We will be carpooling from the Nevada Conservation League office at 1055 W Moana Ln Suite 101 and leaving at 10:15am.
In order to attend, you must RSVP to Lily at [email protected] if you would like to attend! In your RSVP, please let us know if you would like to carpool and if you are bringing any friends or family along!
We hope to see you there!
